Chris's games room is just that. It's only used for our weekly games, therefore there's no need to clear the table between sessions. I put up the new bookcase - it's deeper than the old one and made the passage through to the games room really quite narrow. I couldn't swap it with any of the other bookcases though. The storage crates I'd ordered from Wilkinsons arrived this morning. Other crates I've ordered have been delivered in rectangular boxes: this time I had a large cube. No problem getting it in the front door, as that's the original late Victorian one, and wide. Still whittling away at the Piles Of Stufftm in the games room. I've managed to stash all the games out of sight, by throwing one out, freecycling Twister and donating a jigsaw to charity. I've just been sorting the big (and gradually disintegrating) bag of random fabric in the games room. The end result is currently: 1 crate of assorted fabrics, mostly new, big enough for making decent projects: 1 crate of assorted smaller bits and pieces of fabric for patches, trim and small items; 1 ( Read more... )

Yesterday, the old printer and all its gubbins went to a grateful Freecycler, which has freed up some space on the games room floor. Which allowed me to get on with the next job.

I spent a good hour or so yesterday night sorting out the collection of bubblewrap, packing paper, boxes, tissue etc that I've accumulated.
